Meet Jerrod

I’m Jerrod Lucker, and it would be the highest honor to serve as your mayor. As an educator, health coach, and father of three, I have a deep passion for developing human potential.

I was raised working class and have a unique window into our community’s needs. Rochester deserves a champion who will partner with the council to build a 21st century city. Together, we will fight for world class education, improved housing, and support for small businesses while keeping taxes low.

Diversity is our greatest strength. I promise to listen, keep an open heart, and give you my absolute best because, as I tell my sons, our best is always good enough. For Rochester, the best is yet to come! We are stronger together.

As your mayor, I will communicate in a timely and effective manner. Through various channels and partnerships we will work to keep you informed and engaged with the workings of government and its impacts.

Civic Engagement

I believe in the power of civics and non-partisanship. In tumultuous and divided times, it is more important than ever to engage with government and each other in a peaceful and civil manner, to honor our commitments and uphold our rights.

Servant Leadership

As a servant leader, my only vested interest is in the needs of our community. I am not a politician, and I am commited to making the tough decisions and build bridges rather than divide. Ultimately I work for you, and we are a government by the people for the people.

In an international renown city like Rochester, with visitors and workers from all over the world and all walks of life, diversity is our greatest strength. When we listen and learn from each other with empathy and respect we help to create the community we all deserve.

Protecting The Vulnerable

I believe leaders are judged not by their strength, but by their protection of the vulnerable. It is our sacred duty to protect children, immigrants, elderly, disabled, lgbtq+ and any other vulnerable populations.

A strong community is a healthy one. I am committed to clean air and water, accessible parks, and thoughtful, sustainable growth. By investing in infrastructure and walkability, we can ensure a high quality of life for today and future generations.
